OJ Simpson is dead after a battle with cancer.

The former NFL great — who was tried for the double murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in the 1990s, only to be acquitted — passed away on Wednesday, April 10 in Las Vegas.

His family announced the sad news today, April 11, via his X account.

He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren when he died Wednesday night.

This comes weeks after it was reported he had cancer.

In February 2024, a local news outlet reported that he had cancer and OJ immediately made a video to deny reports that he was in hospice, but did not address the cancer report.
