OAU students begin 50 hours of hand washing activity to set Guinness World Record


Mr. Enitan Subair, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Friday began 50 hours of hand washing to set a new Guinness World Record.

She notified GWR of her intentions in June 2023 and was given November 24 to begin the challenge.

The 200 level students studying Linguistics and African Languages ​​were supported by the University’s Students’ Union.

Before officially starting the laundry, Subair expressed optimism that he would do well as the title holder for longest hand washing time.

The President of the Students’ Union, Mr. Abbas Akinremi-Ojo, said necessary support such as an ambulance and lights have been arranged to ensure that she wins the challenge.

The school management, represented by Dean of Students Professor John Odedia, said they were ready to do everything in their power to ensure she beat this record.
