The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu has directed that the gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo states be conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner.

Ganduje disclosed this on Friday when he led the incoming governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, and Hope Uzodinma of Imo State to visit Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He said the APC candidates acted in good faith in accordance with the instructions of the President during the election.

Ganduje said the APC, following Tinubu’s orders, conceded victory to the opposition in Bayelsa State.

“We lost the Bayelsa elections, but we made concessions in good faith. You directed that the elections should be free, fair and peaceful, and that is what happened,” Ganduje said.

In Imo State, Mr. Uzodinma defeated Mr. Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Mr. Asa6 Achonu of the Labor Party, LP.

Similarly, Ododo defeated Dino Melaye of the PDP and Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Kogi State.
