NNL: Avia Comets beat Beyond Limits 2-0

Abia Comets Football Club defeated visiting Beyond Limits Football Club of Ogun State in the second round of the Nigeria National League (NNL) at the Umuahia Township Stadium in Abia State on Saturday. 90 minutes of very entertaining football unfolded.
The match, played in front of cheering supporters, was decided by two goals each in the first half.
Jonah James gave the home team the lead in the 47th minute.
In the second half, Beyond Limits launched a powerful attack to equalize, but the strikers were repelled by Abia Comets’ solid defensive line.
Chinatu Erwa scored his second goal in the 63rd minute to make it 2-0, sending Umuahia fans into a frenzy of celebration.
Abia Comets’ Douglas Bueca was named Man of the Match in the Southern Conference A group showdown.
Abia Comets coach Kelvin Eje praised his players for the win and said they will improve in the upcoming matches.
Meanwhile, Umuahia Township Stadium will host Enugu Rangers on Sunday in a tough Nigeria Professional Football League fixture.
