Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer accuses FG of “dual state crime” against IPOB leader

IPOB, Special Prosecutor for the Indigenous People of Biafra leader Nnamdi Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, has accused the Nigerian government of committing a “double crime” in arresting the agitators.

Mr Ejimakor said detaining Kanu after receiving an unusual sentence from Kenya was a double crime.

The special prosecutor explained that such crimes are unacceptable.

According to Ejimakor, “In 1984, Nigerians lost visa-free travel to the UK due to a botched Umaru Dikko rendition, but it was Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who inspired Benin Republic to protect IGBOHO. It was a performance.

“Detaining the MNK after handing him over is a dual state crime and should not be tolerated.”

Kanu has been held in custody by the State Department of State DSS since his arrest and extradition from Kenya in 2021.

Despite a court ruling ordering his release, DSS refused to grant him his freedom.
