Nnamdi Kanu: Military threatens us, Simon Ekpa is not our leader – IPOB files suit in Supreme Court
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Friday asked the Supreme Court to ignore claims that Finland-based Biafra agitator Simon Ekpa is its leader or member.
IPOB said the Supreme Court should not succumb to blackmail and that Ekpa was its leader ahead of the December 15 judgment in the Nnamdi Kanu case.
IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, was reacting to remarks by Chief of Defense Staff Christopher Musa that Ekpa was disrupting the operations of security forces in the South-East.
A statement from Powerful reads in part: “The global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ably led by Supreme Leader Mazi Nnamdi Okuchukwu Kanu, is committed to debunking the false statements attributed to Simon Ekpa as Chief of Army Staff. ” IPOB leader. The Nigerian Army Chief is well aware that IPOB is backing away from the criminal activities of Simon Ekpa and his gang of car thieves. The Nigerian Army, DSS, Police and Simon Ekpa are all conspiring to blackmail Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. IPOB and his ESN have no leader other than our supreme leader Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu.
“The recent media debunking of the Nigerian military that Simon Ekpa is the IPOB leader is nothing but a threat to the future judgment of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Supreme Court case. The recent tweets linking the Nigerian military and threatening to initiate a violent withdrawal of the Nigerian military in the South East are part of their joint plan to reignite violence in the South East. Both the Nigerian Security Forces and Simon Ekpa have the same objective. I am.
“The first is a resurgence of violence, murder and destruction of property in the Southeast, which has been quiet for some time.
“Secondly, by using their new acts of violence as evidence to bias the Supreme Court justices against releasing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on December 15 based on national security interests. Yes. We knew that the Supreme Court judges were under pressure from the federal government not to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. So they are looking for evidence to convince the judges. .
“All the shenanigans by the Nigerian Army, DSS, Police and the Nigerian Government to use Simon Ekpa as a double agent is due to the looming incident of our country’s leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on December 15, 2023. They are looking for a way to blackmail IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in front of a Supreme Court judge. I knew that I did not represent Mazi Nnamdi KANU and IPOB.
“The public should watch how Finnish criminals and double agents will start their violence in the days after the Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Supreme Court verdict. This criminal and his sponsors will not be released. Recall that recently the Nigerian military called him the IPOB leader. They all want to blackmail and demonize IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It is now clear that the Nigerian Army was among the institutions that recruited the criminals who ravaged the South-East and Igbo land in particular.
“For the Nigerian military commander to degrade Simon Ekpa to such a low level in Parliament that he calls him the IPOB leader is ridiculous and demeans the Nigerian government and the Nigerian military. Who among the members of IPOB thinks they are too stupid to understand that they are just acting out a script instead?”
