Nigeria Customs Service considers upward review of pensions for retired staff
The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has said it aims to overhaul the benefits of retired police officers.
The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs, Mr. Adewale Adeniyi, disclosed this during a farewell and reunion event for retired senior officers on Saturday.
Mr Adeniyi maintained that the NCS needed to tap into the wealth of knowledge of former senior officers.
He said the NCS has begun a review of retiree benefits, digitized retiree verification and is looking forward to establishing a pension committee.
“We are grateful for your wisdom and dedication in the service of the Nigeria Customs Service.
“It is in our interest to take this opportunity to celebrate you.
“This event connects the past, present and future of Nigeria Customs Administration.
“To bridge the gap between past management and current customs officials,” he said.
