"NFF treated me like a rag" - Vincent Enyeama

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyema has finally spoken out about the strained relationship with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that was rumored to have led to his sudden departure from the national team.

The 41-year-old lamented how Nigeria’s governing body treated him like “used material”.

In a recent interview with Hot Sports NG, when asked if he thought his unexpected departure led to a steep decline in the Super Eagles’ goalkeeping department, Nyeama said: He withdrew from the national team). And with due respect, I was treated like second hand.

“So I put up a block between myself and the national team. Now I’m starting to follow what’s going on. But I’ve really stopped watching football, the national team. I… I was deeply hurt. But now I have moved on. I haven’t seen the national team or the goalkeeper, so I can’t say much.”

DAILY POST recalls that Enyeama resigned from the national team in October 2015 after reportedly falling out with some of the country’s top football figures.
