The newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Imo State, CP Aboki Danjuma, has reiterated the command’s commitment to provide adequate security and restore stability to the state under his leadership.
He said his leadership remains committed to restoring public trust in the police to eradicate violent crime and social vices.
CP Danjuma stated this when he led the top management team of the command on a show of confidence-building tours and military exercises in Orlu, Orsu, Njaba and Or East council strategic areas of the state.
The visiting Police Commissioner interacted with local stakeholders including council chairmen, traditional rulers, market leaders and traders.
The CP also took the opportunity to meet with area commanders and divisional police officers and DPOs in the area and assured them of appropriate welfare benefits.
He said the tour was part of a community policing-focused strategy to combat crime and criminal activity in the state.
The Imo Police boss also called for partnership and cooperation from the public, including local vigilante groups, through the provision of useful information that would help enhance police visibility and effective service delivery.
Last Thursday, the CP visited Alaba International Market, Ama Awusa Market and World Bank Road Market in the state capital, Owerri, where he met traders and similarly reassured them of the command’s determination to ensure their safety. I want you to remember what I did.
