NDLEA operatives on Saturday raided a lounge in Osogbo where a bizarre party organized for illegal drug abuse was to be held.

The operatives arrested some of the organizers who found drug exhibits.

NDLEA Public Relations Officer, Femi Babafemi, said on Sunday in Abuja that based on reliable intelligence reports, an evening party was scheduled to be held at the lounge, which was described as an “unholy alliance for stoners and drunks.” The attack was said to have taken place.

He said different types of illegal drugs are sold and consumed by revelers.

“Shortly after the organizers began gathering at Berrymist Lounge in Ofado area of ​​Osogbo to start the party, NDLEA operatives swooped on them.

“The operatives arrested the organizers and seized illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia from them.

“Those arrested were Ikotsu Omolayo (25), Fola Olabode (30) and Akorede Adunni Ajibola (22). The management of the lounge was invited for investigation.

“This follows a raid on Thursday, November 23 at Area 5 Forest Reserve, Ile-Ife, also in Osun, where operatives recovered 156 kg of Indian hemp,” Babafemi said. Stated.
