Agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Saturday, November 25, raided a hall in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, where a night party organized for illicit substance abuse was to be held and arrested some of the organizers who were found with drug displays.

A statement released by Femi Babafemi, spokesperson for the anti-drug agency, says the operation followed credible information that some people were going to hold a night party called “Unholy Alliance… for Stoners and Drunkards” where different types of illicit substances would be sold and consumed by customers.

”Soon after the organizers started gathering at the Berrymist Lounge located in Ofatedo area of Osogbo to kick off the party, NDLEA operatives attacked, arrested them and recovered illicit substances of abuse and drug paraphernalia from them. Those arrested include: Ikotu Omolayo, 25; Fola Olabode, 30, and Akorede Adunni Ajibola, 22. The Lounge management was also invited for further investigation. This comes hot on the heels of an earlier raid on Thursday, November 23, in Area 5 forest reserve, Ile-Ife, where officers recovered 156kg of cannabis sativa.”

Babafemi added that the main organizer of the Unholy Alliance drug party, Gbemileke Adelola (aka BIG LHYNZ), aged 30, was arrested by NDLEA operatives on the morning of November 26.
