The Nigerian Navy on Tuesday handed over eight bags of Cannabis Sativa worth NOK 12.8 million to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in Lagos.

He said the Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Nigerian Navy acted on a tip-off regarding suspected smuggling within its area of ​​operations.

“Intelligence indicated that people were seen unloading products believed to be Cannabis Sativa at the seaside Abohedo community in the FOB operational area.

“As a result, the base rapid response team proceeded to the crime scene for investigation and possible arrest.

“The team cordoned off the area and carried out a search operation and recovered a total of eight bags containing suspected products worth N12.8 million.”
