Nasarawa Parliament passes 2023 supplementary budget bill of NOK 8.2 billion

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed a rebalanced and supplementary budget for 2023 of NOK 8.2 billion.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Danladi Jatau announced the development during the plenary session on Tuesday.

He assured that the lawmakers would continue to work with Governor Abdullahi Sule to foster rapid development in the state.

“A bill to increase and readjust only the sum of N8,173,454,224.22,000 to be issued from the State Consolidated Revenue Fund for the affairs of the Nasarawa State Government starting from January 2023 and ending on December 31, 2023 To supplement the period, I read it a third time and passed,” he said.

He praised the efforts of lawmakers to expedite the bill's passage and directed the House Clerk to prepare a clean copy for the governor's signature.

“I hereby direct the Clerk of the House to prepare a copy of the Bill for the assent of Your Excellency,” he said.
