The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and its partners have introduced a standard reporting handbook for journalists covering human trafficking cases in Nigeria.
Professor Fatima Waziri Aji, Executive Director of NAPTIP, said the reporting handbook will go a long way in guiding journalists on how to properly report on issues surrounding human trafficking and migrant smuggling (TIPSOM).
The Directorate made this known at a two-day validation and technical finalization workshop on the Standard Reporting Handbook for Journalists and Members of Trafficking Media Units, organized by NAPTIP in partnership with the Anti-Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling Operations. did.
