Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has clarified that the commission of inquiry set up by the government to investigate political disputes and alleged misappropriation of public funds that led to the 2023 murders is not intended to witch-hunt anyone. did.

The governor disclosed this while receiving the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, who paid traditional homage at his official residence as part of the Hawan Nasarawa activities.

Governor Yusuf said the committee was established to ensure transparency and accountability in the government and address the threat of political violence in the state.

He vowed to investigate and oust perpetrators of political violence and threatened that the government would not tolerate anyone, regardless of political party.

He said the measures were aimed at putting an end to political violence that led to loss of life and destruction of property, and putting the country on a path to economic and political development.

Governor Yusuf pledged to work collaboratively with the Emiratis, noting their contribution and cooperation with the government.

Earlier, the chief minister praised the government's distribution of palliatives, saying it had significantly eased the plight of residents, while calling for adjustments if necessary.

The Chief Minister totally condemned the trend of horse riding, assault, phone snatching and other domestic crimes leading to loss of lives and property.
