Shakhtar Donetsk assistant manager Carlo Nicolini has slammed Chelsea, saying it was the wrong environment for winger Mykhailo Mudryk to develop.

According to Nicolini, Chelsea are not a team because individual players have struggled in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

“Chelsea is not a team. Individual players are struggling there,” Nicolini told TV Play.

“In the national team you can see the real Mykhailo Mudryk. He can do more.”

He added: “In the national team we can see the real Mudryk and he can do even more. He has to find the right environment and a coach who will give him confidence. He has everything to rock. He’s really strong and I hope he can show that.”

Recall that Chelsea acquired Mudryk from Shakhtar in January this year.

The Ukraine international has made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Blues, scoring just two goals and providing two assists.
