Mr. Taraba: NSCDC Commander Urges Staff to Uphold Federal Government's Trust in Promotions

The leadership of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Taraba State Command has urged the newly promoted officers of the command to seize the opportunities presented by their promotion and live up to the expectations of the Federal Government.

The state Commandant, Mr. Adamu Salihu, made this appeal while attending the investiture ceremony of newly promoted officers in Jalingo, the state capital, on Saturday.

It would be recalled that the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, recently announced that the Federal Government had granted promotion to 21,385 NSCDC personnel. It was observed that over 300 of his personnel of the Corps serving in the state benefited from this promotion.

Salifu acknowledged that the promotion was an unprecedented event for the Corps, adding that the NSCDC, Commander Ahmed Abubakar Audi, had put an end to the culture of stagnation and delay in personnel promotions within the Corps.

“This is the first time we are witnessing this type of large-scale promotion in the Corps,” Salih said.

He urged the beneficiaries to reciprocate this attitude, stressing that honor comes with the responsibility to demonstrate dedication to duty and provide selfless service to the nation.
