The Chairman of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladeji, has stated that some of the resolutions reached after his latest assembly with President Bola Tinubu over the political disaster that rocked the state just a few weeks in the past, are part of the response to the undated resignation letter by the Ondo State House of Assembly. Opinions have been raised that the letter might be triggered if Ayedatiwa violates any of the resolutions reached at the peace convention with state actors.
The Speaker, who made this recognized at the first plenary session of the parliament held after the Abuja assembly, clarified that no resolution had been handed to appoint Mr. Ayedatiwa as performing governor, and emphasised that the established order shall be maintained.
According to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Oladyi, the Oladunni Odu State Party Chairman, Mr. Ade Adetihin, and himself have been tasked with guaranteeing the full implementation of the resolution.
“Dear colleagues, in the wake of the latest painful and tortuous political disaster that has shaken our whole state to the bone, please permit me to formally welcome you to this hallowed chamber.
“Without any doubt, I strongly imagine that every one of us acted in accordance with the mandate given to us as representatives of the individuals.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I would really like to introduce the good individuals of Ondo State to the resolution reached after a gathering with Ondo State representatives, members of the House of Representatives, members of the State Executive Committee, Ondo State National Assembly and the state authorities. Mr. Chairman of our social gathering and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Peace be accepted by all events. This established order shall be maintained by all events. All impeachment proceedings shall be instantly discontinued and all lawsuits shall be withdrawn by all events.
“There shall be no dissolution of the National Executive Council. Ensure that social gathering management and reorganization stay intact. Ensure that the management of the House of Representatives stays intact.
“Your Highness, we’re lucky that Mr. Olimisan Aedatiwa can proceed to serve as Deputy Governor. The undated letter of resignation have to be ready and signed by the Deputy Governor and submitted to the President.
“Three Executives, including the State Chairman of the APC, Dr. Eng. Ade Adetihin, Chairman of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Your humble honor, the Rt. Mr. Oladiji Olamide and the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, He was appointed to monitor compliance with the ongoing resolutions,” he stated.
While warning politicians in opposition to making a political disaster in the state, Mr Oladiji stated such individuals can be handled harshly.
“At this time, Congress is not going to hesitate to name to the fullest extent of the legislation the politicians and different gladiators who’re fanning the embers of warfare on this state for political acquire, and can reply with moderation. Please let me warn you.” he added.
