Men don’t like women who are “too successful” – Ini Ed
Nollywood actress Ini Obong Edo has said that some men see women who are “too successful” as a threat to their status as the head of the household.
Men prefer submissive women who are “in control,” she says.
The actress emphasized that she personally prefers to be a “queen” and does not like the idea of ”dominating” men.
Ed said this on the latest episode of Toke Makinwa’s podcast. “Some men are intimidated by the strength of women because it can make them look like they're trying too hard. First of all, you're a woman, you're beautiful and you're all over the place.” ..
“Obviously, men want to see you[a woman]not being too successful. Because it pulls you along by doing all the basic things that you know are expected of you.''
“So when I get too strong, I feel like I'm competing with their ego. But the truth is, like I always say, I want to be queen. I conquer men. I'm not a woman who wants to do things or be on top of a man.
“No matter how successful I am, I don't want to be with a man who thinks he's bossy.'' So what is that beauty? That he gives me direction and protects me.”
She added that it is difficult to find men who understand that a successful woman does not threaten her position as head of the family.
