Mechanics Champions League debuts in Lagos as 16 teams battle for glory

The league's group stage will take place over the first four weeks, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. The final tournament will begin on May 19th, with the final and third place deciding match taking place on May 26th.
Speaking after the draw, Egberombe said: “We are grateful for Hyde Energy's vision and support of our engineers. Together, we will raise the bar for professionalism and excellence in the automotive industry.”
He announced that the league winner will receive Hyde Energy products worth N2 million while the first and second runners-up will receive products worth N1.3 million and N700,000 respectively.
The Best Player, Golden Boot, Safest Hands winners and Best Coach will each receive merchandise worth N250,000 while the team with the best designed promotion will receive merchandise worth N300,000.
Also present at the launch was the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, who said: “Lagos State Government is thrilled that Hyde Energy has brought this initiative together.”
