Marlon Wayans' Los Angeles home robbed, 'thousands in cash' stolen

American actor and comedian Marlon Wayans has become the latest celebrity to fall victim to a burglary after his Los Angeles home was broken into.

Although the 51-year-old actor, best known for starring in White Chicks, was not home during the robbery, his older brother Keenen Ivory Wayans, 66, was present when two thieves ransacked the property.

According to police sources, the home invasion occurred last Saturday around 2:30 a.m. when Marlon was not home. Two thieves entered his Encino property through the backyard, broke a back window and gained access to the home.

Marlon's older brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans, reportedly woke up to some noise, but ignored it and went back to sleep.

According to TMZ, the 66-year-old remained oblivious to what happened until Marlon's team returned to the property around 8 a.m.

Sources revealed that Keenen was shocked to discover that thieves had ransacked his brother's home right under his nose, making off with a safe and several thousand dollars in cash.

Authorities began investigating the robbery and officers reportedly scoured the Los Angeles area for any footage.

This comes just weeks after the homes of two NBA stars were burglarized, including former basketball player Patrick Patterson and Utah Jazz guard Talen Horton-Tucker.
