A Nigerian man has narrated how local boys forced him to pay N60,000 after his four-day-old tire was packed at the Third Continent Bridge in Lagos.

@ugodre said he saw the N60,000 as a big deal as he had to choose between a dirty slap, being thrown into the water below or having them seize his iPhone. He further revealed that they helped him remove the bad tire and fix the spare tire.

He tweeted;

“I have been hearing about fake new tires until it happened to me tonight at 3MB. The tire is only 4 days old and cost N60k. I also paid the boys in the area N60k in “road taxes” to leave safely.

“You know what’s funny. In fact, the guys gave me a UBA account to make the transfer. The boys in the area also have bank accounts. Oh, I should also add that the local boys also helped remove the bad tires and fixed the spare tire.

“And for those who are wondering why I gave them N60k. Well, sometimes you have to choose wisely by cutting your losses quickly and early. When you have to choose between a dirty slap, being thrown into the water below, or having them grab your iPhone. You immediately see N60k as a great deal.”
