Mama Foundation advises Nigerian youth on education

Mr. Victor Ogbeide, Managing Director of Margaret Ogbeide Memorial (MOM) Foundation, has urged young Nigerians, especially men, to move towards acquiring a useful education instead of cutting corners in the pursuit of success. I called for a change.

Mr. Ogbeide made the call while speaking at the first edition of the Mama Scholarship Awards held in Ababo town, Ika South council of Delta state.

He said that while boys are distracted by “computer presses” (Yahoo) and other undesirable activities, girls are studying hard and getting an education for a brighter tomorrow. He expressed his disappointment.

“Apparently upset is that of the 30 JSS 11 students who sat for the MOM Foundation (presented by Dee-Jovicx ltd) scholarship exams, 5 achieved “exceptional results” in the Mathematics and English exams. All of the students were women. Ogbeide lamented.

The M.D. said the scholarship will cover tuition fees, school bags, notebooks and test books for one year for the 2023/2024 academic calendar.

The five outstanding students, all girls, took the math and English exams along with 30 others by Ministry of Education, Asaba and Foundation officials, and were declared winners, while the other boys were rejected as failures. I was pushed into a corner. Create a top list.

“This program is held to recognize young talents who have achieved outstanding academic performance and these talented students will not only help us achieve our goals but also bring the glory of success to our academy. It shows these qualities.”

Mr. Victor Ogbeide, an engineer, believes that good education plays a key role in building a bright future for children, encouraging students to realize their true potential, harness it and always join their peers. Encouraged them to compete.

He also urged students who did not study hard to prove their mettle to win one of the 1,000 scholarships available next time.
