Leader of the Celestial Church prevents Portable and Pasuma from performing in one of his parishes

The Pastor in Charge of the International Headquarters of the Celestial Church of Christ, Ketu, Olatosho Oshoffa, has condemned the choice of the parish priest of one of his parishes in Lagos State who invited Fuji singer, Pasuma, and street-hop artist, Portable, to carry out at their night of worship scheduled for December.

A flyer launched by the church asserting Pasuma and Portable as visitor artists at its worship evening/Ankara generated blended reactions on social media earlier at present.

Although some Nigerians noticed nothing unsuitable with the church’s choice, others argued that it’s unethical for the church to ask secular artists to carry out inside a church. They argued {that a} Muslim like Pasuma shouldn’t be allowed to carry out in church. Read right here.

Reacting by way of his Facebook web page, Oshoffa said that he had spoken to the cleric liable for the parish and that the artists would not grace the event.

Sharing the poster on his Facebook web page, he wrote:

“Dear Celestians, I have just spoken at length with the Pastor Responsible for the aforementioned Parish. He promised to make changes to the posters. He promised that the aforementioned contested artists would NOT come to the Nights. There is no doubt that this poster is very CONDENABLE. God bless CCC. Amen.”
