Federal lawmaker Sani Yakubu Noma has signed a deal to offer 100 female orphans for marriage, Daily Trust reported.
Norma represents Argungu/Oji Federal Constituency in Kebbi State in the House of Representatives.
Speaking to reporters in his hometown in Argungu district of the state, he said the marriage plan was part of his contribution to the welfare of orphans in his constituency.
He said the wedding will take place on Saturday at the palace of the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaira Muhammad Merah.
“A committee was set up to carry out the event successfully. The people selected to get married were from the two local governments that I represent in parliament.
“We have already procured beds, mattresses, essential furniture and other matrimonial necessities for the beneficiaries,” he said.
