LASEPA shuts down mosques, hotels and businesses over noise pollution issues

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) on Monday, November 20, 2023, sealed off mosques, businesses and hotels in Oshodi/Isolo area of ​​the state due to noise pollution.

This exercise is part of LASEPA’s ongoing efforts to tackle noise pollution and other environmental violations.

The affected properties are Adura Agba Ratibi Mosque, Stag Engineering Nig Ltd, Green Point Hotel, and 4 Season Hotel and Suites.

Others include the Big Apple Hotel and Suites, Honey Dew Hotel and Suites, Humble Signature Hotel and Suites, and New Ground Hotel.

In a related development, LASEPA on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, sealed off Richbon Nigeria Limited, Keltens Nig Ltd and Elinta Suites.

The agency also closed Dynatec Systems, Capello’s Bar Jesus Refiners Fire Evidence Ministry and Me and You Bar Garden in Amuwo-Odofin area of ​​the state.

These actions were taken in response to complaints of noise pollution and other environmental violations that the agency received from various settings.
