Landlord’s son stabs tenant to death in Lagos parking lot
Shonibare Oluwasegun, a 36-year-old minibus driver, was allegedly stabbed to death by the son of his landlord after an argument over a parking space in the Aja area of Lagos.
According to eyewitnesses, the father of three returned home on the night of Sunday, November 19, 2023, and drove his minibus, also known as “Korope”, in front of his compound at 24 Adunmi Close, Ilaje Ajah. I parked at.
He had just gone to bed when the landlord’s son, Taiye Adebayo, knocked on his door and shook him awake.
Witnesses added that the landlord’s son told the tenant to go and get the minibus from where it was parked. However, the late Oluwasegun is said to have stepped outside and claimed that the spot was his usual parking spot.
After an argument, Adebayo allegedly stabbed Oluwasegun in different parts of his body.
Explaining how the news of his brother’s death was received, Shonibare Fayed, the brother of the deceased, said: “By 1:29am on Sunday (November 19, 2023), he received a message from a private phone number. “I received a call that my brother had passed away,” he said. . In the early hours of 6:20 a.m., I rushed to Ajah to find the body of my brother, stabbed in various parts of his body and dying in a pool of blood. ”
