Kwara Secretary for Social Development, Opeyemi Afolashad, mentioned the ministry had evacuated 88 mentally ill persons and beggars from the streets of Ilorin.

He advised reporters in Ilorin on Thursday that this was after the mass evacuation carried out by the ministry within the state capital.

She mentioned the evacuation came about from November 24 to 30 and came about on the Post Office/Taiwo Isare, Tipper Garage, Challenge/Unity Road and Challenge/GRA axis.

Mrs Afolashed mentioned the evacuees had been taken to one of many ministry’s rehabilitation amenities for therapy, prosecution and repatriation.
