Kogi government trains 315 health workers on data reporting

Kogi government exposes mistakes in hiring new teachers

The Kogi State Government has debunked the news circulating that it has begun the process of recruiting new teachers into the state civil service.

Some media outlets (not DAILY POST) had earlier reported that the government had started hiring new teachers across the state.

However, the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Science and Technology Education and Educational Services Commission (STETSCOM), Ms. Cecilia Cook, in a statement on Monday dissociated the state government from the alleged teacher recruitment and ignored this information to the public. I appealed to them to do so.

According to her, the information being spread in some sections of the media is the work of pranksters bent on defrauding innocent job seekers.

She said that the Kogi State Government through STETSCOM operates a functional website www.stetscom.kogistate.gov.ng/ where necessary information on recruitment and other information is posted for the consumption of the people of the state. I explained that

“I urge the people of Kogi State not to apply for or pay any money to anyone for any such recruitment as the commission is not currently recruiting secondary school teachers.

“The commission would like to appeal to the public to provide relevant information to assist in the crackdown, with the aim of apprehending the perpetrators of this heinous act,” she said.
