Kidnappings: Abaji, Kuje and Bwari councils worst hit in Abuja – FCTA

The Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) has named Abaji, Bwari and Kuje as the regional councils most affected by kidnappings.

This was disclosed by the Director of Administration and Finance at the FCTA Security Services Authority, Mr. Ebele Molokwu, during a year-end media briefing on the activities of the agency.

According to her, serious kidnapping cases in the area usually came from these councils.

However, she revealed there were also some isolated cases in other regional councils.

Moloch noted that the council borders several states known for kidnappings, adding that if bandits come to attack, they will flee back to those states.

He said the government was determined to check both kidnapping and One Chance syndicates in the territory.

The Ministry’s Secretary-General, Adam Gwali, said the Security Committee was divided into two parts: a movement wing comprising core security institutions and a non-mobility wing involving traditional rulers and other relevant stakeholders. He said that it is divided into athletic departments.
