Keyamo guarantees aviation safety

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, reiterated his commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency and reliability for air travelers, airlines and all stakeholders.

The Special Assistant to the Minister on Media and Communication, Tunde Moshood, disclosed this in a statement released on Tuesday and made available to journalists in Lagos.

He said the minister's stance suggests a positive outlook for 2024.

The statement said: “The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, would like to express its sincere gratitude to the entire aviation industry for its resilience and cooperation over the past year.

“In order to strengthen the industry's global position, the Honorable Minister reaffirms to all stakeholders our unwavering dedication to strict adherence to the minimum standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO.

“One of the cornerstones of this initiative is the protection of operators within the industry.

“The Minister's Office emphasizes its role as a facilitator, working with airlines, service providers and other stakeholders to create an environment conducive to growth and sustainability.”
