Katsina: Governor Radda swears in six new permanent secretaries

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda has appointed six new permanent secretaries in a bid to strengthen the state's administrative capacity.

The ceremony was held at the Katsina official residence on Thursday in the presence of dignitaries and well-wishers of the appointees.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Jamil Yaqub Batagalawa, Samaira Yusuf Bindawa, Lawal Suleiman Abdullahi, Hamza Mani Tafasiya, Ahmed Hassan Masih, and Ibrahim Muath.

The oath of office was administered by the state Chief Justice, Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar, in the presence of government officials and well-wishers.

Radda said at the ceremony that the selection process is based on merit.

He also revealed that six new permanent secretaries had passed a rigorous exam to secure their positions.

Governor Katsina congratulated them and drew attention to the important role they play in addressing the economic and security challenges of the state.

“Your appointment comes at a critical time for Katsina,” Rada said.

“We face significant economic and security challenges, and your expertise, dedication, and leadership are essential to overcoming them.”

He urged the new appointees to work together effectively and work together to promote prosperity and peace in Katsina.

The governor also reaffirmed his administration's determination to address the security concerns plaguing the state.

Radha appealed to the people of the state to donate their allocation and offer prayers to community efforts to end the challenges threatening the state, especially during the ongoing Ramadan fasting period.
