“The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kaduna State Chapter is saddened by the sad news of the mistakenly targeted bombing by the Nigerian military,” CAN State Chairman, Pastor John Joseph Hayabu, said in a statement issued on Monday. Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of ​​Kaduna State.

“This situation occurred while the Nigerian Army was carrying out a routine mission against terrorists, but inadvertently affected members of the community, resulting in the death of several civilians and injuries to many others. did.

“CAN therefore wishes to sympathize with the Muslim ummah, as many of the affected people are said to be celebrating Mawlud.”

He described the incident as unfortunate.

“Bombing on the wrong targets will ensure that criminal elements who kill cows, kidnap, rustle and destroy property are removed from our society, especially by security agencies and Nigerians alike. “It is extremely unfortunate that this happened at a time when we were working tirelessly to protect these innocent citizens,” the statement added.

“We pray that such unfortunate incidents will not be repeated in the future, whether in Kaduna State or any other part of the country,” the statement said.
