President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday reacted to the death of Owerre Chief George Uwechwe of Ogwasi-Ukwu in Delta State.

Recall that Mr. Uwechwe, who was the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), recently passed away at the age of 85.

Mr Tinubu commiserated with the Uwechwe family and the Nigerian legal community over the death of the elder statesman.

Mr Tinubu, in a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Adjuli Ngerale, said Mr Uwechwe’s deep acumen and legal acumen would be “deeply missed”.

He described him as “an excellent lawyer and mentor.”

The President prayed to Almighty God to grant peace to the deceased and give his family the heart to bear the painful loss.
