Former Edo State Governor, Lucky Igbinedion, has tasked the Federal Government to create an enabling environment for small businesses to flourish in the country as a means of empowering youths and tackling unemployment.

Speaking in Benin City, Mr. Igbinedion presented awards and prizes of excellence to over 51 employees of Cada Plaza and Cinema Entertainment Center for their exceptional diligence, dedication and professionalism in the performance of their duties.

Igbinedion, who called on the government to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises to drive the economy, said government support for small and medium-sized business owners would lead to a reduction in unemployment.

He said the staff at Kada Plaza and Cinema Entertainment Center were able to boost their morale to do more for 2024.

He said the more than 51 staff members who received the award for excellence were selected from various departments including security, housekeeping, stores and maintenance.

The administrative staff who won other awards and awards of excellence were Chief Accountant, Chief Electrician and Facility Manager, while the Chairman’s Award for Staff of the Year went to Mr. Paul Ojo, a logistics staff member who received N200,000 in cash. received. as a reward for his accomplishments.
