EPL: Why Rashford was given a penalty against Everton - Bruno Fernandes

He is not a leader – former Manchester United midfielder criticizes Bruno Fernandes

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has criticized Bruno Fernandes, claiming the Portugal international is not a leader.

Ince believes Fernandes should not be Manchester United’s captain because he is not playing his best football.

“I don’t know how I feel about Fernandes because the way he’s playing, he’s not a leader,” Ince told talkSPORT on Monday.

“I feel like he’s not performing to his full potential at the moment.”

“You do it as a leader, you do it as an organization,” he added.

“The most important thing for me as captain was that if I wasn’t playing well, I would make sure the people around me were playing well. It shows what you are doing.

“That’s your purpose as a captain, to look around and help other people play well. When you look at Fernandes, it’s all about him and if he plays well If he hasn’t, I think you can tell by his body language.”
