Gunmen kill police officers in Imo
Two police officers were killed by unknown gunmen in Ahaizu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday, November 27.
According to reports, police officers attached to Ahiara police station were attacked at a petrol station at Ahiara junction in the local government area, resulting in the death of the two police officers and injuries to others.
Confirming the incident, the state police spokesperson, Henry Okoye said;
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, Commander 34 Artillery Brigade and operatives of the Joint Task Force (JTF) are scouring the crime scene for evidence that will possibly lead to the arrest of the hoodlums responsible for the attack and murder of two police officers at Ahiara Junction in Ahaizu Mbaise LGA of Imo State.”
The traditional ruler of Otulu Autonomous Community in neighboring Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Eze Joe Ochulor was found dead in neighboring Aboh Mbaise LGA on Saturday, November 25.
