Gunmen kidnap former APC president in Niger

Former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Wushishi LGA, Alhaji Sule Muhammad, has been kidnapped.
Armed men invaded the town of Zungeru, in Niger state, in the early hours of Thursday, November 23, and shot sporadically before taking the victim away.
Muhammad’s daughter and son were injured by the gunmen, sources told DailyTrust.
“When they (the gunmen) showed up on Thursday, they started shooting sporadically and lasted for about an hour before they took away the former chairman of APC, Wushishi LGA, Alhaji Sule.
“They shot his daughter in the leg and one of his sons also suffered cuts from a meat cleaver. As I speak to you, they have not established contact with the family,” a resident told the publication.
