DAILY POST learned that the traditional ruler was kidnapped on Saturday morning and killed in the evening, but his body was not discovered until Sunday morning.

Community sources told DAILY POST on condition of anonymity that the abducted king’s body was found on Sunday morning with his limbs severed.

He said: “His mutilated body, with one leg amputated, was found along the Chokonese-Mbutu road, where it had been abandoned. Meanwhile, his family and community were hoping that the kidnappers would contact them and possibly pay the ransom.” “I was waiting for you to request it,” he said. ”

The gunmen who broke into the palace and took him away reportedly fired intermittently, scaring away those who might have raised the alarm.

The official further said, “There is tension in the land and the people are currently living in fear. The traditional rulers were removed from their residences on Saturday morning and the villagers are in fear. It’s terrifying.”

The Imo State Police Command spokesperson, Henry Okoye, did not answer calls or respond to messages sent.
