DAILY POST recalls that Dedeli appeared on Channels TV’s program “Sunrise Daily” on Wednesday and made the argument about the Court of Appeal judge.
The coordinator alleged that recent developments in Kano state over election litigation have led state government officials to intimidate and harass judges and defame the judiciary.
Mr Nzeoke stressed that the organization, along with other NGOs, would oppose any attempt by politicians to bully judges and judges.
He called on the Nigerian Bar Association to ensure that appropriate disciplinary action is taken against the erring members.
“We call on the authorities to interrogate Mr. Dedeli to provide evidence of all the allegations he made on Channels TV. If they cannot do that, he should be arrested and prosecuted.
“We are concerned about recent developments in which politicians are losing cases in court and threatening judges. This bodes ill for our democracy and the rule of law,” the group said. Ta.
