Governor Sanwo-Olu arrests soldier for traffic violation (video)


Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has arrested men on motorbikes who were riding on a one-way street on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The governor was on his way to the inauguration of the Femi Gbajabiamila Conference Center at the Ojo campus of the Lagos State University, LASU, when the incident occurred on Tuesday.

A video that has gone viral on the internet shows Sanwo-Olu jumping out of a car with security guards and arresting the offending police officers.

While being taken away by security forces, Sanwo-Olu said, “Leave me there and let your father come and save me.''

One of the criminals, who claimed to be a soldier, replied, “I'm a soldier, Mr. Oga.”

In response, Sanwo-Olu said: “That's all the more reason for me to lock you up. You say you're a soldier. Useless boy. You say you're a soldier. Lock him up.”
