Founded by Ansarul Society of Nigeria, MKU received accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on June 9, 2023.

The Pro-Chancellor of MKU, Professor Shuaib Abdulraheem, addressed the press in Ilorin yesterday on the preparations for formal commissioning of the university, saying that the university stands out from the rest as it combines spirituality and sociality and its products bring benefits. explained that they are different universities. Praising the virtues of Muhammad Kamaluddin Al-Adabi, founder of Ansarul Islamic Society of Nigeria, the Prime Minister said: “As a visionary leader, Kamaludeen spearheaded the integration of Western education into his Arabic language, which modernized and standardized Arabic education in Nigeria.

“Despite opposition, he championed English education and introduced innovative tools such as blackboards, tables, and chairs. His determined social reforms were inspired by a combination of Arabic and Western education. The pursuit had a lasting impact and created an important social status for highly educated Muslims.
