Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has expressed his gratitude for the family of the deceased police officer, Corporal Mohammed Maina, who was killed during a Boko Haram attack that ambushed the governor’s convoy on the Maiduguri-Damaturu Expressway last year. to purchase a house worth NOK 7.5 million. The statement said that in addition to the N1 million provided for the child’s school fees, a total of N2 million was also provided for the immediate needs of the family.

“The governor also approved the payment of N1 million each to six other injured security personnel. A further N2 million was approved by Governor Buni to cover medical expenses,” the statement added.

Food assistance was also provided to the bereaved families and injured.
