FRSC gets new spokesperson and reassigns two DCMs

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has appointed Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Jonas Agwu as the new Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO).

Mr. Agu, who has extensive experience in the public education sector of the Corps, was the ACM in charge of command management and strategy.

He will succeed Bisi Kazeem, who was recently promoted to Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM).

Kazeem is now the head of the training division, according to a statement issued by the Deputy Corps Public Education Officer Charles Edem in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mr. Edem said Mr. Kazeem will replace DCM Shehu Zaki, who has been transferred to head of operations.

He said the relocation is part of a strategic effort aimed at fully realizing the Corps' corporate strategic goals in 2024.

He added that the relocation also strengthens the Corps' existing efforts toward creating a safer motor vehicle environment.

“Legion Marshal Dauda Biu expressed confidence in the mission performance and experience of the newly redeployed senior officers and charged them to demonstrate their expertise to provide influential leadership. ” said Edem.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the redeployment will come into effect from January 15 and will conclude the Zero Tolerance Special Patrol Operation being carried out across the country in the remaining months.
