FRSC debunks ’ember month’ superstitions
The Divisional Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Taraba State, Mr. Daba A. Bello, has dispelled the widespread notion linking Ember Moon with the superstitious practice often referred to as the “juju” operation.
Mr Bello, who was speaking during a courtesy visit to officials of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and Taraba State House of Assembly, clarified misconceptions surrounding the assumed heightened risk during the ember period.
Mr Bello said in his office at the FRSC Taraba State Headquarters that the embers months (September, October, November and December) coincide with the dry season, when special events such as weddings, thanksgiving and celebrations take place. , activity on the roads increased.
“Some drivers repeatedly violate traffic rules while driving on the roads, causing avoidable accidents and claiming the lives of many innocent brothers and relatives,” he said.
