Former Nasarawa APGA board candidate Mr. Onbugaku and others defect to APC


Chief Matthew Abre Ombugaku, a former gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nasarawa State, has formally defected to the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).

The announcement of his defection was made during a reception in honor of Senator Solomon Akuku Euga held at Lafia City Hall on Saturday.

Mr. Ombugaku, along with other leading politicians, was warmly welcomed into the APC membership by the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Senator Solomon Aku Euga.

Among the prominent figures who defected to the APC along with Chief Ombugaku is Dr. Alpha Yusuf Tsenya, a former senatorial candidate of the APGA in Nasarawa North. former SDP House of Representatives candidate Aliyu Safiyanu, aka Mai Zuma; Mr. Zubair Abdullahi Musa and Mr. Musa Salihu Imoga, who represented the Doma North constituency in the 6th Parliament on the platform of the Zenith Labor Party ZLP.

The reception was attended by Governor Abdullahi Sule, Senator Umar Tanko Almakura, Senator George Akume, Representative Jeremiah Umar and other prominent politicians.
