Former Cross River Governor Ayade loses sister

The immediate past Governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade, lost his sister, Mrs. Ateb Janet Onyiga.

The former governor made the announcement in a statement signed by spokesperson Christian Ita.

The deceased was 54 years old, married, and had a child.

The statement read: “It is with deep sadness that the family of Mr. Kakum of Obudu Local Government Area of ​​Cross River State announces the passing away of Mrs. Ateb Janet Onyiga (née Ayade) to glory.

“She passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, after a short illness.

“Before her conversion, Janet was a God-fearing woman, a devout Christian, a loving mother, and a caring sister to her brothers.

“She was a very kind, active and engaging person. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.”

Ayade revealed that burial arrangements would be announced soon.
