Five bandit leaders killed in Katsina
A joint team of police operatives and vigilante group members, acting on intelligence, have killed five bandit leaders who led a gang to invade Kwale, a village in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
A vigilante leader in Katsina who disclosed this to DAILY POST claimed that the clash occurred between Kwale and Kadozi villages at 2pm on Saturday.
Sources identified the five dead bandit leaders as Bala Oota, Tsoho Hassan Na Kadozi, Na Sahra, Hussaini Bakr and Lawal Baban Sabe Kadozi. He noted that these people were in positions of influence and were known to participate in cattle rustling activities.
He also said that two members of the Joint Task Force, vigilante group member Aminu Suraho and police officer Abdullahi Banka, were injured during the operation.
Spokesman of the Katsina State Police Command, ASP Abu Bakr Sadiku Aliyu, confirmed the report and promised to provide further details at a later date.
