Fire breaks out at a specialist hospital in Kwara.


DAILY POST reports that a fire broke out at the Sobi Specialist Hospital in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, on Tuesday.

No casualties were reported, but the fire incident occurred at around 8:35 a.m. at the COVID-19 Center of the Specialist Hospital.

The incident was reported to the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik, who immediately contacted the Kwara State Fire Service at 8:47am.

Members of the Kwara State Fire Service were called to the scene at 9:03 a.m. and extinguished the fire.

“We are truly impressed by the speed, dedication and professionalism of the fire brigade. We appreciate the quick response of the fire brigade,” Ladi Alao said on Wednesday at the Kwara State Hospital Management Committee in Ilorin. said in a statement on behalf of the company.

According to the statement, “At the time of this press release, the cause of the fire was still unknown. An investigation is underway by the Kwara State Hospital Management Board in collaboration with the Kwara State Fire Service to determine the cause of the fire.” . No lives were lost. No injuries were reported.”
