The Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, mentioned the Federal Government would strategically utilize indigenous energies in each region in its interventions in the ability sector.
Speaking on the Annual Seminar of the Power Correspondents Association of Nigeria (PCAN), the Minister mentioned the federal government would give attention to photo voltaic energy in the north, small hydropower crops in the Middle Belt and South West to hybridize with solar energy, whereas coastal He mentioned nations will go hybrid with solar energy. The use of wind energy is permitted.
Mr Adelabu mentioned PCAN is likely one of the key stakeholders and companions in this discipline and known as on the media to advocate towards energy theft and vandalism and educate customers towards sabotage.
